Teach English in Yuni Yizu XiAng - Liupanshui Shi
After reviewing the present tense unit, this was was fairly easy to understand. Just like with some Japanese grammar structures, if you memorize the different types of past and present tense, then it will become easier to spot specific patterns and therefore increase learning of the language, I think. My reason for this is because when learning anything else, such as math, we are always looking for patterns, something easy that will make it easier for us to follow how a certain equation is done, and therefore we can remember it and then learn how to solve for y. Learning a language isn't so different. There are many grammatical patterns, and while there are some irregulars, if students can grasp the sentence structure pattern, then even if they encounter irregular verbs, they can at least figure out word order and be able to recognize a past sentence from a present sentence, but may not know the past form of an irregular verb. At least they were able to recognize what kind of a sentence it is and where each word goes grammatically in the sentence.
