This unit was filled wit information about teaching pronunciation and phonology. The unit was divided into sections that focused on intonation (the variation of volume and pitch in a whole sentence), stress (emphasising the principle word in a sentence), the phonetic alphabet and articulation. As a native English speaker who never learned the phonetic alphabet, I found the charts to be especially helpful. I also found the section on articulation interesting because it explains how we make specific sounds in the English language. I believe this will be the most useful for me when I have to explain to EFL students how to make specific sounds. Sometimes it can be difficult to explain how we pronounce certain words in English, but with the phonetic charts and physical examples of how to make the sounds, it should be less difficult. The other part I found interesting about this unit is the topic of intonation. As someone who teaches students whose language is tonal, I found this to be a useful way to help them learn how to speak with \"tone\" in English.
