This section explained methods for a teacher to evaluate and test their students knowledge. First, this unit covered three main options for evaluating students knowledge, Tutorials, Student Evaluations, and Tests. Tutorials are reviews of the information already learned, discussion of teacher and lesson objectives, and discussion of students performance and problems. Student Evaluations are methods that allow students to complete a survey of the course and information and point out areas of improvement. Tests are used in many different forms to evaluate the students retained language. Second, this unit explained the different types of tests and their purposes. Finally, this unit covered many different international exams that students may be facing in the future. I have learned that although tests are often required by the school they may not always be the most effective way to test a students real applicable knowledge of English. I have also learned that the best way to measure a students progress is through continued observation over the entire term.
