Not all students will have the same abilities, motivation, or reasons to learn English. Because of this, classes will be organized based on the special needs of the group. For example, many small children will either have pressure to learn English from societal needs, or a requirement in their normal schooling to have instruction in the English language. Small children have specific needs within the classroom, that need to be considered, and which also makes teaching a children's class remarkable different than for example, a business English class. In a business English setting, the motivation, energy levels, attendance, and range of skill can vary greatly. An English language teacher doesn't need to be an expert in the field of business in which they are teaching English, though familiarizing oneself with it on more basic levels will help identify the kinds of English vocabulary or settings the students will often need for their work. There are many special needs groups, so it is important as a teacher to be able to adapt to the needs of their students.
