From this unit I've learnt about the qualities, roles and responsibilities of both teachers and learners. I've studied a detailed categories of what actually makes a good teacher and a good learner. I've thoroughly studied the roles a good teacher should take to make an ESL lesson varied and useful. I've also found information on the learners's differences in age, motivation, nervousness, previous learning experience, language awareness, possible behaviour problems and life experience extremely helpful. Now I will consider all these aspects for a particular group age. I've also studied the language levels which are commonly accepted. This will also help me to allocate my sudents into the appropriate group depending on their level of ability in English language. I also find the passage on motivation extremely useful as now I've realized that motivation is a key factor for a student to master the language and therefore, a good teacher should do his best to ensure that his lessons are enjoyable, interesting and varied. That sounds like a good goal to achieve!
