During this unit i learned just how important a teachers role is in a classroom. A teachers physical presence, their overall appearance, gestures, and most importantly eye contact with students. These are some of the major roles that a teacher plays in order to have class management. By knowing how to properly translate this to the students that will sum up a more productive class session. Gestures or body language are great when helping teachers convey meaning to students. Gestures can add visual aid and can be used to speed up a lesson to help manage a class. Good eye contact is necessary if a teacher wants to involve all students. A teacher should be able to maintain eye contact when necessary and appropriate. Eye contact is useful to ensure that students have understood the instructions and to check that everyone is participating in class it also encourages students to participate and contribute. But the most powerful tool a teacher can have is his/her voice. A teachers voice should have the clarity, volume, and variety for effective delivery of a lesson.
