In this unit, Unit 2: Parts of Speech, I have learned the specific breakdown of the English language. I've learned the difference between various types of nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs. I have learned how to distinguish categories of words using their proper names and correct explanations.This unit went into details about pronunciation and even taught me all about the phonemic symbols! I never knew how complicated our mouth and throat were! The phonemic symbols were very interesting to learn about and I hope it will help me in the future when teaching pronunciation to my students!This unit was really interesting. The contrast between the two video lessons really pointed out a lot of great points on how to (and how not to) engage students and help them learn. It was quite painful and boring to watch the first lesson, while the second lesson was entertaining and positive.
