This also reinforced what was talked about in unit 3 regarding the focus of study vs activity stages (accuracy vs fluency), so that was good. I would have like to see some more detail regarding \"guided activities\" under the \"speaking activities\" section. Model dialogue, guided role-play, ect.It is very important to know about receptive skills and to have a better idea on how to work with them. Sometimes I do not like to read anything in the class but now I have realized how important this is. It is also good to have an idea of the activities we can use un the class and their purpose.As a qualified English teacher, I am familiar with and have used all these different types of tests. It was useful to see the different types of external exams that ESOL learners can sit. It was also useful to see an example of a placement test and it has given me ideas to use in my own practice.
