This unit was extremely challenging. English is a hard language! Although I may know what sounds right to me, it is hard to remember and associate the grammar terms with the types of sentences. I will need to review this unit in the future before I ever attempt to try and teach these grammar points.In my opinion, this unit was rather difficult and scientific. It focused a lot on logic and a formula to create sounds and stresses. The material was very dense and sometimes difficult to comprehend. I still find difficulty in the phonetic script but with more study time, it is something to work on.While I do feel like a lot of this information has changed (as far as what is commonly used in a classroom), it is very helpful and insightful to the tools that can be used when teaching. I also really appreciate the links and references at the end of the unit, as I feel they would be quite helpful.
