I like this topic but it is too theory-based. There are many new terms to learn and I am trying to pick up as much as possible. I did not learn phonics at young age thus missed learning reading and pronouciation. This time I shall inculcate phonics into the lessons so that my students can benefit.This unit has provoked many thoughts about how I will structure my lessons. I had never considered all the different types of tests I would need to give. It is also helpful to know about the tests my students potentially are preparing for, as that will help me better tailor my lessons to their needs.
