This unit covered different methodologies and theories on how to teach a lesson. It went over a variety of potential teaching styles before focusing on the ESA, Engage Study Activate, method of teaching. This method involves engaging students to get them ready to learn, studying the new material with them, and then activating that material in a way that gets them using it with knowledge they already had. I think this unit was very important because how you teach something is almost as important as the information you are teaching. If a student is unable to follow the lesson or be engaged in the learning, then it won't matter what you are teaching them they won't be able to learn it.
