In the last unit I have leant about four different ways of dealing with a group where the students are at varying levels. First, you can use different materials dividing the class into two groups for some activities. Second, we can give the same materials, but different tasks: more complicated for stronger students, easier to weaker ones. Third, the teacher may not do anything letting student to own their level within the class. Although there is a risk that the weaker students may feel frustrated and the stronger ones bored. The best way of dealing with different levels in the same class is pairing weak students with stronger ones. Then can explain and clarify things to each other.
