This unit acted a good base for preparing student interaction and speaking roles in the classroom. Speaking and writing can be scary but having the student play games seems like a great option to help them feel more relaxed and comfortable. I think for a teacher the most important part of encouraging students to speak a new language is to be sensitive with them. Correct when needed but avoid drilling into a student for every little mistake. I like that this lesson puts all of the students on an equal level in the class. And makes sure that no one is working to fast or two slow. Games act a great way to keep students on track and with one another. Especially group/ whole class games.
