Unit 18 focuses on Modal Auxiliaries, Passive Voice and Phrasal verbs. A very nice table on modal verbs is provided in the unit. The table gives a good summary on the use and form of the modals with examples. In this unit I have learnt that there are three types of phrasal verbs: intransitive, transitive separable and transitive inseparable. Before I just relied on my inner feeling when separating a phrasal verb from its particle, now I have good arguments for that! Besides, the unit also contains information on relative clauses, which can be defining or non-defining. Non-defining clauses are separated with the coma as they don't substantially change the meaning of the main clause.
