There are 4 sections that cover past tense. They are - Past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. While the different types of past tense might seem straight forward and simple, it might not be to a student whose first language is not English. Hence, I find the explanation as well as the forms and usage of each section given very useful. Another way that I thought which can be used to teach the students will be to explain clearly the meaning of continuous (i.e still happening) which indicates the presence of \"-ing\". That way, it might also be easier for them to identify the tenses and hence will assist in sentence structure while constructing sentences.
