In this lesson I have learnt the two types of materials to be used in class, that is the authentic (newspaper, magazines, brochures and many more) and created or non-authentic materials (games, roles-plays e.t.c). Some of the advantages of authentic materials are: Students always have trust in them more than the created ones. They tend to boost the interest of the students. They usually cover a wider range of topics. On the other hand, while teaching students? it?s better to use course books because they have a lot of advantages such as provision of security to both teachers and students, before publication , the course books are always revised so it reduces on the errors.
