In unit 3 I have learned that there are students referred to as L1 (mother language speakers)and L2 (second or foreign language speakers) and for every category you need to apply different methodology methods for appropriate teaching. There are many meothds one can use to teach the students and, for me, the most important are grammer-translation; audio-lingualism and presentation; and practice and production. However, the language knowledge of the students is very important in order to do lesson planing. I have also learned that to maintain the students interst the lessons should be enjoyable by using games, activities and engaging conversations to stimulate the use of the language.
