This unit looks at many ways of designing a language course for young learners. It starts from advising on how to conduct the first meeting with students. We learn that before the course commences, teacher should implement a level test in order to find out what is students? current degree of proficiency. After gaining this knowledge teacher usually carries out a needs analysis, which is supposed to show what are the students ?expectations for the course and what their previous learning experience is like.
