This unit focuses on three important aspects of English grammar, modals, passive voice and phrasal verbs. Modals are used before main verbs to express one of the following ideas,obligation, possibility, request,permission, necessity, ability or advice. The most common modals in English include; may, might,can, could, ought, should, will.The second part deals with the passive and active voices. In the passive voice, the object of the active voice becomes the subject of the passive.We have three categories of relative clauses;independent, dependent and relative clauses.we also have three types of phrasal verbs, transitive separable, transitive inseparable and intransitive phrasal verbs.
