This unit went consisted of an in depth look into all of the different classifications of words that can make up at least a simple sentence. The classifications were subdivided into smaller sub-classifications, what made them unique when inside of their classifications and the general, hard or non-existing rules or laws that governed their usages. The types of words that were classified were adjectives, nouns, pronouns, articles, prepositions, conjunctions, adverbs and gerounds. It highlighted the fact to the teacher that word classification and identifying words within a sentence to make it correct is an extremely challenging endeavor for non-native speakers of English to accomplish.
