Upon reflection, I did not enjoy either video presentation although, yes, the second was more effective than the first, primarily because the teacher was more casual, friendly and interactive with his students. The lesson, itself, lacked energy and creativity. Albeit, having said that, there were ONLY 10-12 students within the classroom and this in itself does not present, in reality, an accurate condition in which most ESL teachers find themselves in, particularly in Asian or SE Asian communities. Nevertheless, the basic purpose of the videos was an attempt, by comparison, to demonstrate some difference between a less effective lesson/productive and a more effective/productive lesson.
