Teach English in Langfang Shi

Unit 20 was the last unit in this course and dealt with some of the most common problem situations that teachers can encounter in the classroom, as well as how to deal with them

From this unit i have learnt about teaching productive skills and different activities that focus on either accuracy or fluency

I found it fascinating to relearn the basic grammar rules which I use in day to day conversation and thought processes

This units provided me with a lot of insight regarding the material used during a lesson and how it can be implemented within the ESA method

There are a number of ways to assess the students: tutorials, evaluation by the students and tests

This unit is about teaching grammar, vocabulary and functions using several ESA methods

I learned a lot from this lesson

This unit encouraged imaginary role-play as a teacher of English

This unit highlights the advantages and disadvantages of both authentic and created materials

Receptive and productive skills are equally important; however, a student cannot develop their productive skills without first learning the content by reading and listening

This was a very interesting unit

In an analog way as unit 11, this unit reflects about the productive skills of language which are speaking and writing

In the Case Studies portion of this unit, it was interesting to understand what the process should be when doing an activity in class

The information provided in this unit is completely new to me

This unit looks at many ways of designing a language course for young learners

Watching the two lessons provided a contrast in quality teaching versus poor teaching

The purpose of this unit is to introduce basic teaching concepts

Equipment and teacher aids are very important tools in order to allow students to have more resources of studying and improve their English, is important many classrooms have their equipment to allow the teacher to make an excellent class, but in the real life is difficult, for example in Mexico not all the schools have OHP or whiteboard, thus is this why is important to try to prepare flashcards, worksheets, use the cellphone to put audio in order to have an efficient classroom to make a good class, a good teacher must now how to improvise the use of the resources but at the end the students will appreciate the teacher effort to learn the new words and practice vocabulary every time

This unit teaches about course books and lesson materials

This unit explains productive skills that consist of speaking and writing

I have learned in Unit III that there are various methods and approaches in teaching learners how to learn English

In this lesson, I learned about the receptive language skills ? reading and listening, as opposed to the productive skills of speaking and writing

Unit 5 Classroom management in this unit I've learnt balancing teachers and students talk time solely depends on the type of activities and the English language level of students

This unit offered quite a few great consideration questions to ask oneself prior to making the plunge to taking on a teaching position in another country

While I have quite a bit of experience with teaching, I was not aware of all the different roles a teacher assumes during instruction

In unit 3 I have learned that there are students referred to as L1 (mother language speakers)and L2 (second or foreign language speakers) and for every category you need to apply different methodology methods for appropriate teaching

In this unit, I've learnt that authentic materials which is a material that native speaker would hear or read so it is not designed for beginner level students
