What makes a good teacher? A good teacher should be kind and patient, really love teaching, lively and entertaining, be able to motivate students, have good rapport and interaction with students, be able to involve all students equally through out the lesson. A good teacher really cares about the teaching, and cares even more about the learning of the students. The roles of the teachers include: Manager, organizer, assessor, prompter, participant, tutor, resource or facilitator, model, monitor. We need to be efficient to switch different roles throughout the lesson to give students best learning experience. What makes a good learner? The characteristics of a good learner include: A willingness to listen to the language. A desire to experiment with the language. A willingness to ask questions. An ability to think about their own learning process and methods. An acceptance of error correction. A desire to learn. Differences between adult learns and younger learners in age, learning experience, motivation, nervousness, language awareness, behavior problems, life experience.
