Unit 3 deals with theories, methodologies, and techniques in the teaching and learning process. Some of the methodologies are grammar-translation, audio-lingualism, PPP, task-based learning, CLT, CLL and a lot more. With so many approaches, we can't really decide which one is the best to apply in teaching english because there's a lot of factors that needs to be considered like the level of the learners or even their culture. What I really like about this unit is the ESA or Engage, Study, and Activate. This is a method for us, teachers, to make sure that our students are motivated, exposed to the new language, and given opportunities to use the english language. Now I understand why it is really important for a kindergarten classroom to have attractive or interesting teaching materials because it will greatly help the teacher to motivate and engage the young learners in the lesson. I am also grateful that this unit covers the pointers on how and when to correct learner's mistakes. As a teacher, once my students committed or pronounced a word incorrectly, I have this tendency of correcting them right away. Now, I realized that I should also consider their feelings that they may be demotivated or embarrassed.
