Although this unit is not long it is a complex unit. Understanding each component of the Present tense is import for helping students be able to form sentences and questions correctly. for me it highlights the importance of understanding standing the grammar of a language rather than just learning words. This has become particularly relevant for myself having recently learnt a new language. I initially struggled to understand why so much effort and emphasis was put on the grammatical components but thinking about it now after reading thus unit i understand that without a good basis of grammatical learning a new language would be very difficult.
