The primary objective of this unit has been to identify the purpose, substance/content and organization of designing lesson plans. Principles and reasons for particular order and inclusion of various teaching/components and phases within the lesson plan are presented with the implication that within structure there should still be flexibility in order to make ongoing adjustments to lessons as unanticipated situations or needs within each lesson arise. A specimen of an isolated lesson plan is offed for consideration and representation of what the author had in mind when previously describing the purpose and organization of a typical lesson plan.
