This unit discussed the various aspects of classroom management, including balancing teacher talk time and student talk time, classroom arrangement, how to address the class, and how to correctly discipline. The most important thing I learned from this lesson was various was to build rapport with a class. Each facet of the lesson included ways to improve mutual respect within the classroom, and I will keep these in mind for each portion of my lesson. One of the biggest challenges I think I will have as a teacher is managing my use of English, that is, using simpler and more intentional language instead of speaking as I would to any other class.
