Unit 18 was an overview of the use of modals, phrasal verbs and the use of the passive voice. The way in which modal verbs are used can change the meaning of the message you are trying to deliver based on which modal verb you are using. For example to the use of could vs might differentiates the level of possibility of being able to complete a task. I found the applications of these very interesting and something i had not consciously thought of before. The most difficult component of this unit was the differentiation on the different types of phrasal verbs - I thought the unit could have given a bit more explanation and depth in this area.
