Unit 4 covered the following aspects: 1) authentic and non-authentic material (=a teaching aid for specific purposes); 2) Lesson planning (why to create, what should be included, how to use); 3) Book Resources (pluses and minuses of coursebooks were given); 4) Using the Internet (a teacher can find the material or students can do it); 5) Classroom management (1) rigid teacher's control, 2) little to no teacher's control, 3) controlled activities). Tools to be used: voice, gesture, eye contact, groupings, use of names, a teacher's position, feedback, getting to know students. A good piece of advice regarding to what is to be avoided was given.
