This unit was helpful in furthering my understanding of past tenses in English. Although I already use these tenses correctly and without much thought, I would not have been able to explain why it had to be a certain way if I were questioned. Now, I feel I could give a fairly thorough explanation to help the students. Given the immense amount of irregular verbs, it would have been nice to have some resources or exercises listed that specifically offer tips for teaching these verbs. I learned them organically, but I can imagine it would be quite difficult to simply try to memorize a list of irregular verbs and their correct past participles.
