This unit offered an overview of the methods we use to test and evaluate our students. It taught the different ways we may evaluate the students and why. It also gave a detailed explanation of what testing consists of, as well as the purpose each of the test types (placement, diagnostic, progress, practice, and external examinations) serves. The one thing I feel the lesson was missing was examples on how to administer tests to the students. There were plenty of examples of why you might want to give each type of evaluation, but little in the way of how to give them or make them. Though overall, the information here was still very valuable to me.
