Unit 1 is talking about teachers and learners as the relationship between learners and teachers is very important and complex issues. The Unit 1 explains the qualities, roles and the responsibilities of a good teacher and students in the class. I learnt that it is very important that a good teacher should be able to switch between these role appropriately. It is because there are different levels of learners, we should know which learning level of the students because our teaching materials will not be the same with different level of the learners. Also the speaking speed to the students should he determined by the level of the learners in the class room. A good teacher should always be a good observer and monitor, while you are observing the students, you know that which learning level are they and you will know their weaknesses and correcting their mistakes without offending. Getting to know the learners, It helps you to switch the role in the classroom for the learners. Also, I learnt that a good teacher should always motivate learners through creating a happy, fun atmosphere in the classroom. Then the learners will be willing to learn and ask questions in the classroom, it helps them learn well. I also learnt that we have to play different roles with different level of the learners and ages, For example, A good teacher should act as an assessor with all the learner especially the beginner, encourage them to have more experiment with the language. Besides, A good teacher should use different methods the teach the learners with different age groups. We can do more game activities with the young learners, and encourage the adult to have more experiments to use the English in class. Caring is the most important thing of a good teacher, A kind, patient and caring teacher will help build and encourage motivation by teaching class interesting. It is very important to be a good teachers, because a good teacher a more likely to have a good learner. I hope I can be a good teacher in the future.
