This unit focused on the Present Tenses. It discussed the four Present Tenses which includes the Present Simple, Present Continuous, Present Perfect and the Present Perfect Continuous. The unit discussed the \"form\" which shows the positive, negative and question examples of the tenses and \"usages\" which demonstrates how the tenses can be used, \"typical student errors\"; some errors are very common among students so it is advised that teachers develop strategies to correct these common mistakes and the \"activate stage of teaching\" talked about activities that helps students to use and understand the different tenses during lessons. I learned that the Present Simple tense is a verb tense with two main uses, it is used when an action is taking place and when something happens regularly. The present tense is formed by adding \"s\" or \"es\". Present Continuous tense is made with the present simple tense of the auxiliary verb \"to be\" and the present participle, or when the word the \"ing\" is added to the base verb. Some of the uses includes talking about an action that is happening now, talking about an action that happens often or to describe developing situations. Present Perfect tense is formed with the present tense form of \"to have\" and the past participle of the verb. The Present Perfect tense indicates that the action was completed, in most cases \"ed\" is added to the verb, however there are many irregular verbs such as run and ran and write and written, just the name of few. And last but not least the \"Present Perfect Continuous Tense\" is used to talk about an action that started in the past and and continued until recently or into the future. The Present Perfect Continuous is made of of two parts, these includes the Present Perfect of the verb \"to be\" and the present participle of the main verb. For example the negative to the affirmative \"you have been living\" would be \"you haven't been living\" common student errors includes using the verb that does not take Continuous form.
