This unit has outlined the different parts of the English phoneneme and its focus is on teaching proper pronunciation of English words. Additionally, this unit provides the guideline which teachers can follow in order to help their students with their pronunciation in class. Personally, I from reading the contents in this unit, I have come to the realization that teaching students how to properly pronounce words in the English language, is very important. The mispronunciation of words in speech can lead to huge misunderstandings in communication. This is the reason why it is critical that teachers incorporate this practice into their lessons.
