This unit is important because it deals with the conditional and reported speech/direct speech. I know conditional is extremely important for students to learn, because many native English speakers use this in day to day conversations. I was shocked that I was going to learn about reported speech and direct speech. I never thought about this type of grammar until this lesson. I will use the charts given to me in this unit when I teach reported speech/direct speech later in life. It will be helpful to have students talk on the 'phone' and have someone else report on what he/she said to the person on the phone. Overall, a very important lesson.
