In this unit, I learnt about teaching special group which are categorized as follow: Beginners, Individuals, Young Learners, Business English and Monolingual/ Multilingual. I understood advantages and disadvantages of each categories. For beginners group, there are other sub group that a teacher can divide students into, such as young beginners and adult beginners. All the student must give a level test at the start of the class. Other important main points I noted were: all the instructions must be given in English, teacher must support and be a help line to student (always encourage, never discourage), create a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
