Conditionals in English language are five: 1) Zero conditional (When/If present simple+present simple) 2) First Conditional (If present simple+ will or modal verbs+ base form of the verb 3) Second Conditional ( If past simple+ would,could, might+ base form of the verb) 4) Third Conditional (If past perfect+ would,could, might+ have+ past participle) 5) Mixed Conditional ( If past perfect+ would,could+ might+ basic form of the verb) Direct speech and Reported speech Tenses they change from direct speech into reported speech, but only Past perfect and Past perfect continues remain the same. Pronouns change and time expressions change too.
