The unit depicts the difference between newcomers and existing groups. Inexperienced teacher comes across problems concerning new groups that is to say how to work with them. First of all to rapport builder then to display their needs and interests and to define their language level and only after that to adapt the appropriate materials. There is also a problem with large groups. There are different ways in which we can organize our learners in the classroom. For example, learners can work on their own, as a whole class, in pairs, in teams, in groups. Organising learners into different working patterns is what we mean by 'grouping learners'.
