As with Unit 4, the main benefit of this unit has been clarification and codification or tenses. In particular the formal definition of Perfect forms is rather useful (at least for explaining to non-native teachers of English), although I do wish there were a few more example usages that could be adopted. One in particular, which appeared on this test, is the use of \"started\" as a completed action which runs against the feeling of \"to start\". (I would suggest giving an example of alternative verbs to use in these kinds of cases i.e \"John started to cook\" can also be \"John turned on the oven.\" to more clearly solidify the meaning.)
