This unit focused on classroom management. I learned the advantages and disadvantages of classroom seating plan arrangements. I understand how the teacher can make sure all the students are equally involved in the lesson and how to give individual attention. Teacher talking time is important because the teacher often provides the only source of natural and correct English. However, it needs to be at a language level that is at or lower than being taught. It is important to reduce unnecessary teacher talking time. I also learned about establishing and maintaining a rapport with students and how to effectively control behavior in the classroom.
