This unit is about the tense system, this can be a very difficult concept for students. There are four present tenses each with an affirmative, negative and question form. The first is the present simple tense, for example; I play tennis. The second tense is the present continues, for example; I am playing tennis. Third is the present perfect tense which relates the past to the present (have/haven't). Lastly, the present perfect continues tense relates past activities to the present(have been). Each of these tenses require some practice through different activities and drilling exercises to help the students learn how and when to use them.
