I found the chart on the different usages and applicable tenses of the modal auxiliary verbs to be extremely useful. I also thought the discussion of phrasal verbs was interesting. In recent years, I've gained an awareness of set phrases and phrasal verbs in English, after studying similar phenomena in Latin (Latin, like any language, has its own set phrases, and some verbs \"take\" certain constructions much like these phrasal verbs in English). I think set phrases will be difficult to teach - the learner can memorize common phrases and phrasal constructions if they are taught, but many natural phrases are best gleaned from authentic context.
