This unit focuses on the present tense, and the different aspects of it: the simple present, the present progressive, the present perfect, and the present perfect continuous. Additionally, the unit describes the situations in which each aspect is used, and demonstrates some common mistakes made by English learners. Like all native English speakers, I have an instinctive understanding of the various present tense forms that we use. Still, being able to speak a language and being able to teach it effectively to ESL learners are vastly different beasts. Therefore, it's very useful to see these usages spelled out in clear, easy-to-understand ways.
