The content of this lesson focused on classroom management, and the variety of elements a teacher must consider in order to create an atmosphere conducive to both effective teaching and learning. These elements include: seating arrangements, grouping, eye contact and vocal techniques, and what to do if a student or students are unruly. One important thing that I learned from this lesson is that, while absolutely vital, a teacher's lesson plan is not the only thing to consider when teaching English. Everything, from the arrangement of seating to the way that the teacher responds to poor behavior can contribute to - or detract from - the lesson.
