Unit 12 is focused on the productive skills. The productive skills are writing and speaking. It starts off by giving an overview of the productive skills in general, and talks about issues that might be present teaching them. It also gives an overview of how to effectively teach these skills and why they are important. It talks about first speaking skills, and gives the importance of fluency and accuracy as well as giving sample activities and an ESA layout. It then talks about writing, covering handwriting, spelling, and layout. It again gives a typical sample ESA layout and also gives some ideas for games that can be played in the classroom.
