This was a hard unit! We covered modal verbs and went over the usages and how using them for requests such as Can I/ May I/Could I can change the meaning of the request from formal to informal. Then we moved on to passive voice which I thought was a little easier because of the formula of using the active subject as the passive object in the sentence. These also change focus and even though the words don't really vary the focus does. Finally, we learned a bit about phrasal verbs and relative clauses. These were the most difficult as you must really dissect a sentence to pull them out if you don't them well. I will be studying these more!
