This unit covers key processes involved in designing Business English courses for clients. The key processes are conducting a needs analysis, syllabus design, testing and assessment and course evaluation. The new things I learned from this unit are the different types of syllabi in English language teaching as well as the different types of language tests and assessments. I look forward to designing courses that will employ a combination of these different syllabi and assessment types while ensuring that the designs meet the requirements derived from the need analyses. I will start with the simpler designs and move on to more complex ones.
