In this fourth unit we tackle the tenses. Often the most confusing subject for students and teachers alike. In the unit we review the different present tenses their uses and different meanings. We reviewed the most common mistakes made so that we can watch out for them and help our students better understand how to express themselves in the present tense.In this unit I learned about the different teaching methodologies and was introduced to the ESA (Engage, Study, Activate) methodology which forms the basis of TEFL. The unit goes on to explain how to involve study during elicitation and provides examples for the Engage, Study and Activate phases. It also explains correction techniques and lesson planning.
