Ok, so these units covering grammar are really not so easy! In this unit we worked on past simple, continuous and past perfect, continuous. We had to identify that past simple the verbs usually ended in 'ed' and with past perfect it was 'had/has' and the continuous included, 'been' in the sentence structure. Memorizing the rules is not so challenging as the part where we have to identify if the sentence is perfect, simple or continuous. For example, being able to identify when one task in the sentence started, ended or continued on and if there was also another action taking place at the same time. With numbers 5-8 on this quiz, a couple of them seemed obvious but then there was one that seemed like it started in the past along with another action and 'just started' but there did not seem to be a clear option to choose that would define what I felt that sentence was an example of structurally (including time). An interesting thing about taking this course is that when I am in the throws of going over the unit and taking the quiz I get so jumbled up but when I look back over it, occasionally, I wonder why I was confused because the answer seems obvious or second nature to me then. It must be partial test anxiety.
