This unit looks into what makes a good teacher. It suggest that the teacher's personality and relationship between teacher and students is important. in other words it suggests that if a teacher cares about his/her teaching but cares even more about the learning of his/her students he/she could make a good teacher. The unit also talks about what makes a good learner. It states that a good learner would usually possess characteristics like; the willingness to listen to the language, a desire to experiment with the language, acceptance of error correction, a desire to learn and others but also notes that many factors such as age, culture, language level, motivation for learning the language could affect what we perceive to be a good learner. From this unit I have learnt how to improve my teaching as a teacher. The unit has taught me that my personality as a teacher is important and in as much as I need to care about my teaching, caring more about my students learning is even more important. Through this unit I can now identify which role to assume and when to assume such roles at different stages of a lesson and for different activities without compromising the essence of teaching, which is , my students get to learn
